I was born in India and since then have been moving countries for various reasons (none to do with the police). I have lived / studied and / or worked in India (mainly in Delhi but also Calcutta, Chandigarh and Bombay); United States (San Francisco and New York); Germany (Frankfurt), Japan (Tokyo), Fiji (Suva) and New Zealand (Auckland). At this point in my life I’m hoping I can stay put in Auckland and never have to move again. In the process of moving around, I have taken time to: get married and have a couple of boys; acquire some academic qualifications; develop a passionate interest in the tourism industry; be challenged by how to teach international marketing; learned to observe rather than try changing the world. Life continues with a focus now on researching the topic ‘Role and Impact of Strategic Alliances and Networks in Destination Marketing: The Development of www.purenz.com. In the process, hopefully, I will acquire a PhD as well.
