Department Of Labour: Food and Beverage Productivity Study 2006
Interviews with managers of restaurants, hotel restaurants, caterers, bars/nightclubs and takeaway businesses were completed July 2006. This project will enable the Workplace Group to gain a better understanding of the areas that directly impact (positively and negatively) upon food and beverage productivity, including: management capability, training, human resource management, employee satisfaction, technology, and work design. Preliminary findings were presented to the Department of Labour in December 2006, and the final report was completed in early 2007.
The Local Impacts of the Lindauer Queenstown Winter Festival 2006
Destination Queenstown commissioned the New Zealand Tourism Research Institute to conduct research into the local economic and social impacts that the Festival has on the Queenstown local area, businesses and residents. In this study we review domestic and international visitor characteristics, business and community attitudes and impacts, and the income generation capability of the Lindauer Queenstown Winter Festival. This project was completed in early 2007.
