Travel Agent Participation in Biosecurity Awareness

A follow on survey from one conducted in 2002 to investigate the role of travel agents in promoting bio security awareness to returning travellers. Following on from a communications strategy implemented by MAF based on results of the initial survey, the latest survey measures the success of MAF’s programme with travel agents. A web based survey was emailed to a database of over 800 travel agents throughout the country, and 214 responses received. This web surveying is an example of innovative approaches to research using information technology.
