MAF Travel Agents and Biosecurity National Survey

In late 2002, MAF, in conjunction with the New Zealand Tourism Research Institute (NZTRI) conducted a nationwide web based survey of approximately 700 travel agents. This research investigated travel agents attitudes towards biosecurity and MAF. In particular, it reviewed the effectiveness of a range of communications initiatives implemented by MAF since 2002 when similar research was last conducted. The results of this survey were incorporated into a range of communications initiatives to achieve improvements in travel agent use and understanding of biosecurity resources and information.
