Culinary Experience in Northeast Iceland

In terms of the project 'Exploring the role of innovation in promoting sustainable tourism development in peripheral communities: cases from New Zealand and Iceland' John Hull and Ari Páll Pálsson just published an article in the annual publication of the Food Development Cluster Programme MANUSKELE in Finland. The artcile titled 'Northeast Iceland Culinary Experience (NICE)' is linked to the strategic plan in Northeast Iceland on the culinary experience efforts.

The article shows possibilities that are also interesting for the Aquaculture & Seafood Trail initiated by the Marine Farming Association (MFA) in the Top of the South Island in New Zealand. Both regions (Iceland and New Zealand) have similar innovative approaches to link their marine resources and tourism based industries. The article can also be downloaded from here.
