An Investigation of the Tourism, Travel, and Hospitality Experiences of People with Hearing Impairments
The National Foundation for the Deaf (NFD) is interested in knowing what the tourism, travel, and hospitality needs of people with hearing impairments are, and what barriers they encounter when trying to access tourism. Little research has been done to try and identify these needs and barriers.
This research will involve two online surveys of people with hearing impairments - one aimed at people living in New Zealand; the other aimed at people living in other countries.
The aim of this research is to offer a better understanding of:
Access Tourism as a legitimate tourism market
What people with hearing impairments themselves say they want in terms of Access Tourism products
